We are a group of
artists from Bellevue, Nebraska and numerous area communities, including
Omaha, Plattsmouth, and Papillion to name a few.
Bellevue Artists'
Association was formed in 1974 to promote interest in the fine arts
and encourage art appreciation in this area.
We sponsor several
art exhibits and judged shows each year, including our premier show,
the Annual Silver Palette Awards Show.
We also present dynamic and inspirational art workshops,
in a variety of media, taught by regional and nationally recognized
artists.
Our monthly meetings
are a time for learning and camaraderie, and each meeting includes a
special presentation of interest to artists. Just a few past topics
have included-
- How to frame
for competitions
- Copyright law
for artists
- Techniques for
painting with pastels
- How to photograph
your artwork
- Tips for participating
in outdoor art fairs
- Ink-jet (giclee)
reproductions
New members are
always welcome. Members receive the monthly newsletter with information
of interest to artists, such as topics for our monthly meetings, competitions,
shows and selling opportunities, and upcoming workshops.
Please contact us
for further information about the Bellevue Artists' Association. We'll
be pleased to answer any questions you have about our group.
