Artist's Statement
I have always been
drawn to the intimate details of nature-the delicate flower, the intricate
leaf, the majestic tree-and I try to infuse my paintings with their
simple beauty. I want the observer to discover with me the subtle hue
of a autumn leaf or the translucent character of a flower petal.
My landscapes are
not intended to be grand in scale, but rather intimate and personal.
I want them to beckon you, the viewer, to feel the warmth of the sun
or the cool of the dappled shade. I paint what I love: the rich simplicity
of a quiet life lived here in Nebraska.
