"Inspiration
for my paintings come from many directions, exploring thoughts and emotions,
dreaming, a line from a story or poem, a part of a
conversation, something that strikes me as I observe situations, society,
or images. Sketching and journaling helps me to incorporate more meaning
into my work. I believe that the most powerful and profound inspiration
comes from the simplest things. It is important for me to find something
extraordinary within the ordinary context of my life."
Bonnie Rodgers has
won numerous regional and national awards including: Second Place at
the National American Mothers exhibition, First Place and Honorable
mentions in the 2002 Silver Palette Show, and the Opal Parmentor Fellowship
Award 2001. She is represented by the Noyes Gallery located in Lincoln
Nebraska.
