Madelene Rose is an artist who does comission portraits in oil. Her style is a rather conservative interpretation of the person with the goal to capture the personality as well as the likeness.

She has a Bachelor's degree in Education and Fine Arts at Marymount College in Salina, Kansas an d a Master's Degree in Theology from Manhattan College in New York City. She taught for 25 years and then picked up her interest in art.

Madelene briefly studied at the Student Art League of New York and has taken a workshop under Paul Leville, a noted portrait artist. She has attended a number of other workshops in various medias over the years. Much of her art education has been self-taught through books and pure dedication. Although experienced with a variety of media, the majority of Madelene's work is with her chief love, the portrayal of the human face and figure.
